How long will yeast dough last outside or in the refrigerator?
The waiting time may vary depending on whether the dough has eggs or not, whether it is prepared with fresh yeast or dry yeast. If you have eggs in your dough and you have made it from fresh yeast, we say use it immediately after 2 hours after the dough has doubled. If it is a dough that you have prepared with fresh yeast and without eggs, you can keep it at room temperature (in a place that is not too hot) for about 3 hours after it is fermented. You can keep the dough made with dry yeast at room temperature for 4-5 hours.
We recommend storing all yeast dough in a closed container in the refrigerator. Fresh yeast dough with egg can be stored in the refrigerator for 1 day, egg-free fresh yeast dough can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 days, dry yeast dough can be stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 3 days. Make sure that the tops of these doughs are tightly covered while waiting. Remove at least 2 hours before use and allow it to come to room temperature. If you want to store an unleavened dough in the refrigerator, you can keep it fresh for up to 1 week with the lid and top tightly closed.
